ABOUT ME
I was raised in Green Country Oklahoma on a small family farm next door to my grandparents. As a member of 4-H club and later, FFA, I was always obsessed with doing more with agriculture and trying to nab a blue ribbon or 2. I never had trouble taking care of the livestock or my grandparents' garden, and I've discovered in my adult life that these things never left my heart. I have spent my adult years trying new things and learning from every mistake. Nowadays I try to spend my time at the rodeo, livestock auctions, or just about anywhere I can be outside.
My experiences taking on the idea of having my own country homestead have been met with both reward and the hard times. In 2022, it just about feels like the young people don't have a chance without inheriting land and cattle from family members first. The price of land is outrageous, and so many young adults across the United States were not fortunate like some of us to grow up with livestock or crop fields.
My goal is to educate and eradicate the idea that small farming is obsolete. Oklahoma and the West have a deep history of raising some of the toughest and most resilient country people the United States has ever seen. There is a lot to experience and a lot to be thankful for, and I'm going to see it all!
